Missionary Focus
A missionary once told me that they always need prayer, and that is what I am going to put in this first paragraph.
Art and Deb Brammer were first missionaries in Taiwan. After a few years there they felt God was leading them to a new mission. After coming back to the states, the opportunity to go to New Zealand opened up. They are very close to going to New Zealand.
Prayer needs for the Brammers:
1. The Consulate needs to make a final decision on Art’s qualification on being a pastor in New Zealand.
2. All but $75 of the total support has been received, and all of the outfit and passage has been given.
3. Housing for their family before they leave.
4. The church in Ivercargill, New Zealand now has 15 attending, down from 35.
5. Since there is no one to preach they are listening to videos for services.  (Sermons from the last pastor and the sermons Art has taped.)
Anyone can bring a missionary, that they know, for us to focus on in the newsletter.  If you want some help in contacting the missionary, I would be more than willing to help you.
In Christ,
Kevin Harwood

A Word of Encouragement
A word of encouragement is always needed and appreciated when it comes from a friend who is sincerely concerned about you. Knowing the value of encouragement should motivate us to become encouragers to others.  Our greatest source of encouragement comes from the Word.  Psalms 27:14 “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart...”
~ Earl Lowen

Think About It...
If you were arrested for being a Christian...would there be enough evidence to convict you?

The Reason For The Newsletter
We put this newsletter together to inform you about what we are doing as a group.  We also want to encourage those of you who have not been attending for a while to come back and fellowship with us again!   “...but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”  (2 Peter 3:18)

Boise Rescue Mission
Sometimes things happen that are unexpected.  Sometimes people find themselves out of a job and no place to go.  Sometimes...they end up at the Boise Rescue Mission.
It’s not just a shower, clean clothes, hot meals and shelter that the men recieve. At the Boise Rescue Mission they recieve the truth of the gospel, that is presented daily by many churches and groups throughout the Treasure Valley area, not to mention the many wonderful people working at the mission such as Chaplain Jerry and Chaplain Mike who take the time to listen and counsel with them.
Clemme Ellis White once said, “By the grace of God, (a mission) is not only able to put a new suit on a man, but much more important, to put a new man in the suit. The mission is a place devoted to the reconditioning, the rehabilitation of human derelicts who have been wrecked by the storms of life.”
Every night of the week before the men can have dinner and get prepared to stay the night they must sit in the chapel service for about an hour and participate in the singing and listen to the message that is to be presented. That is where we as a group come in. The first Sunday night of every month we gather together to minister and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the men and sometimes women and children that come to the Boise Rescue Mission. Anyone is welcome to come and participate with us in the 8 o’clock service. If you would like to participate in a special way, please let us know ahead of time.  Our purpose is to bring glory and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, “Inasmuch as you have done it unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)
